StreamServe Utilities™ is Now an SAP-Endorsed Business Solution

Solution Enables Cost-Effective, High-Volume Bill Presentment and Improved Customer Service

BURLINGTON, MA, USA – May 14, 2007 – StreamServe, Inc., (www.streamserve.com), a global leader in Dynamic Enterprise Publishing, today announced the StreamServe Utilities™ solution, designed for use with the SAP® for Utilities solution portfolio, and is an SAP-endorsed business solution. The solution offers utilities companies an integrated, end-to-end bill-to-cash solution for automation and optimization of their high-volume document processes, reducing operational costs by streamlining the generation, collation, sorting and distribution of customer bills.

StreamServe Utilities enhances SAP for Utilities solutions with a high-volume, integrated production printing solution. Furthermore, StreamServe Utilities combines otherwise individually-processed documents for bills, energy conservation campaigns, loyalty campaigns, customer notices and other communications into combined document sets, all within a single mailing. With this solution, business users can also dynamically personalize and maintain targeted customer correspondence, enabling real-time marketing and rapid response to regulatory changes by leveraging bills and other customer correspondence.

“This is a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts,” said Chris Stone, president and CEO of StreamServe. “As utility suppliers seek to reduce their cost-to-serve residential customers through standardization and automation, they want an assurance of tight co-innovation and integration with their SAP enterprise applications. Through this ongoing collaboration, customers can achieve maximum efficiency while improving their customer interactions.”

StreamServe integrates customer communications capabilities within the framework of the SAP NetWeaver® platform. SAP-endorsed business solutions are complementary to SAP software offerings, are developed in accordance with SAP development guidelines, and provide additional capabilities and flexibility for businesses running SAP solutions.
SAP and StreamServe have a long-standing global partnership that has delivered solutions to many of the world’s best-known utility companies, including China Light & Power, E.ON Energy and Oklahoma Gas & Electric.

“By endorsing solutions from partners such as StreamServe, our customers in the utilities market will benefit greatly by having access to solutions that will enable them to stay competitive, realize lower total cost of ownership, manage compliance, and increase customer retention,” said Kevin Ichpurani, global vice president, Business Development and Strategic Alliances, SAP. “The solution from StreamServe helps deliver on the promise of enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA). This enables continuous business innovation and provides customers with the flexibility to respond quickly and profitably to business change, while leveraging and protecting existing IT investments.”

“Utility companies cannot increase profit margins by simply growing market share or raising prices,” said Karen Blackmore, Research Director for Energy Insights, an IDC company. “Automating business processes and using technologies to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction are as important and generally as effective in improving profit margins. Effective technology deployment can enable utilities to reduce high-volume document creation processes and deliver consolidated, targeted and personalized communications that can keep customers happy and profitable for the utility.”

StreamServe will present its’ SAP-endorsed business solution for utilities at SAPPHIRE® ’07 Vienna, SAP’s international customer conference taking place May 14-16. StreamServe will be located in the SAP NetWeaver Partner Pavilion.
