The term “Post Processing” generally means all operations formatted documents are passing through before being printed.
Post Processing helps to compile data from several sources while organizing and managing all steps of delivering documents, incl. document composition, bundling, sorting, enveloping and print layout.
When documents are in Post Processing, they are being stored for future editing, customization, sequentialization, bundling, enveloping or sorting, before being distributed to a printer, a fax machine, or to another output channel. Within a sales environment e. g., Post Processing consolidates and prints delivery data sorted by the driver and the most efficient route.
