E.ON IS Slovakia, founded in July 2003 and located in Bratislava, is a joint subsidiary owned by E.ON IS GmbH (51%), Germany, and Západoslovenská energetika a.s. (49%). With a team of nearly 120 employees, E.ON IS Slovakia is the full service IT provider for the power industry in Slovakia. Its main customers include the E.ON Group companies.

When E.ON IS Slovakia was created as a joint venture of ZSE, a.s.and German-based E.ON IS GmbH in 2003, the new company was faced with the challenge of communicating effectively with their customers while integrating mainframe environments consisting of proprietary systems.
