Chris Stone has joined the company as president
and CEO, replacing co-founder Hans Otterling, who will move to the position of
vice chairman of the board of directors.
StreamServe has more than 4,200 customers in 130 countries, including industry
leaders such as Bayer, BMW, Circuit City, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and
Overture. It is the trusted choice for document-driven enterprises that require
a proven output, distribution and presentment software solution. With the
scalability to address an enterprise's most demanding requirements,
StreamServe's software extends the power of business information systems,
enabling companies to dynamically present customized and personalized documents
from legacy and ERP applications.
"As co-founder and former CEO, I could not think of anyone better suited to lead
StreamServe in the future than Chris Stone," said Mr. Otterling. "The company
has grown every year since its inception 10 years ago, and Chris has the skills
and experience to accelerate that growth."
"I am extremely excited about the opportunity at StreamServe," said Mr. Stone.
"With the company's history of growth and innovation, and the sharp, creative
people already onboard, the sky is literally the limit in this fast growing
market.
"Unlike proprietary desktop systems, which focus on PDF output, we satisfy the
complex document needs of enterprise systems."
Prior to joining StreamServe, Mr. Stone worked at Novell, Inc. first, as
executive vice president of corporate strategy and development, and then as
vice chairman in the Office of the CEO.
"Focusing on developing our US business opportunity and bringing Chris on board
represents the next logical step in StreamServe's path to excellence," said
Erik Tiller, chairman of the board of StreamServe, and general partner at
Amerscan, the founding investor in the company.
