Development StreamServe provides a comprehensive development environment designed to meet all needs to create and distribute rich business content to customers and partners. From one development environment you can develop, test and deploy all StreamServe composition projects.
The development environment contains a rich set of tools that helps simplify the composition of business content, and the definition of all aspects of input and output connectors, associated services and use of document templates. It supports a wide variety of roles such as document designer, content provider, and document programmer.
Production The heart of StreamServe is the production engine. It transforms incoming data into a StreamServe internal message format that allows highly efficient and fast processing. During the process phase, data can be sorted and re-arranged, and also augmented by data from additional sources. Upon completion of the processing phase, the data is transformed into the required output format and sent through the appropriate channel. Process execution is based on the configuration created during the development phase.
Application Connectivity StreamServe connects to all major Business Applications o ERP (SAP, Oracle, Intentia, Baan, SSA…) o CRM o eMail Servers (IBM LotusNotes, MS Exchange) o Enterprise Portals (SAP Portals, IBM WebSphere)
Data Capturing Services The foundation of the StreamServe architecture is the event-driven mode where incoming messages are transformed into outgoing actions.
Communication Protocol StreamServe support a wide range of Web, network, file transfer, print and database protocols.
Integration Services StreamServe includes capabilities for defining the framework for integrating and acquiring data streams from source systems, such as legacy, databases, ERP, and CRM. StreamServe integration services provide the glue for supporting the existing IT infrastructure within an ESA framework.
Output Device Interoperability StreamServe has comprehensive support for a variety of devices: roll-feed, sheet fed, multi function, and desktop printing; labeling/barcode devices; dot-matrix; fax machines, etc.
Open Standard Technologies The StreamServe architecture is the foundation of the StreamServe product and solutions. Our strategy is to embrace Web services and open standards, such as Extensible Markup Language (XML), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), and Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI). In addition, J2EE and Java Message Service (JMS) provide comprehensive interoperability with J2EE servers like IBM WebSphere and Microsoft .NET.
Security Business content inherently contains confidential data that you, your customers and vendors rightly expect to be protected from unauthorized access. StreamServe includes a security infrastructure that includes encryption and digital signatures.
Reliability & Scalability StreamServe provides deployment mechanisms that enable distribution of critical system functionality to multiple server instances. This provides scalability, load balancing, geographical distribution and resilience
International Support Communicating with people in their own language is critical to successful global operations. StreamServe provides end-user interfaces in multiple languages.
